I'm liking the sunday party and latte night, was hoping to go to the ball until I saw the price. Not so sure about the Brighton night on town or the pier party since you can go whenever and get together people of your choice and not pay a 10 pound fee for it. I thought there would be more to do on campus and more for our age group (barn dance?).

I'm very excited. I've bought a gold ticket so i'll probably go to anything and everything that I can.

Not a Fresher (I've graduated) but the idea of the Brighton pub crawl is to introduce people to the city and the local bars/clubs etc. Most people will be new to the area so it's a good way to find places to go out later! Plus you'll meet lots of new people too, outside of your specific halls of residence and/or course.

Barn dance - didn't go, but it sounded like people liked it, it's just a fun themed night.

I bought the gold ticket last year.. there were good and bad sides of it but overall it was good! you get loads of benefits (saves time from queuing for so long). Anywho, enjoy your freshers! Damn I wish second year didn't have to count towards my degree.

    Goodluck!
