Thanks I'll do that as well  really excited now! Are you dressing up in costume for the ball? Like as a character from charlie and the chocolate factory?

Oh I didn't know there was a theme, how did you find out? It would be hard to dress up as something from Charlie and the chocolate factory unless we went as an oompa loompa, and that would be a bit odd.

I don't think I'll be dressing up either. Whatever colour I wear, if anyone asks, I'll say I'm that colour quality street haha

I can't believe in 2 weeks we will be there. I'm so nervous!

Just had a look at the wristband... i am not going to buy as it starts on 12th sep, most people (including me) don't get there until 15th... so 3 nights of stuff is wasted. Maybe know more when we get there?

Freshers week officially starts on the 17th though so all of the important events will be after that date. Its really worth the money as the ball alone is £20! And entry for the other evening events will add up to over the extra £5. Tickets for the ball run out as well so its best to get the wristband and guarantee your entry  just my advice to you.

you go out
you talk to as many people as possible! and make all your new friends.
It's just a week of socialising in different bars and clubs so you know at least 1 group of people

Thanks for the response.

My history of bars/ clubs is... for lack of a better term non-existent.

Still a little nervous about being left out of the loop because I don't fancy drinking, but have been advised to go anyway and try to make the most of it.
