Passed this morning! I'm really pleased - only 2 minors, first time, took me over 40 hours of lessons though! Ahhh, I never thought the day would come when I would pass my driving test

Out of curiosity, how many hours have others taken to pass?
I did 30 with an instructor and about 15 with my dad.

2nd time lucky! 7 minors, I kinda gave up half way through coz I hit the curb and thought '**** it, i've failed so I may as well just relax'

took me ages! I kept stopping and starting...had 3 instructors my 3rd one is the only one who put me in for my test though and I passed 1st time with 4 minors about 2 weeks ago! Love driving so much, motorways are a bit scary though. Over the space of 2 yrs with a 9 month gap I had about 90 lessons. A lot I know bt it turned out I hadn't learnt hardly anything with my old instructors & my new one had to unteach me everything they had taught me and teach me again haha! Got there in the end though!

I was convinced that within the first 10 minutes I'd failed due to being abit too eager at a roundabout, but the examiner either didnt see it or ignored it.

Just goes to show, dont assume anything and keep focus.

It's possibly also a bit of a case of positivity, as people going on the thread before they sit it see all these other 3rd-timers and go.... maybe I'll be as lucky!

I'm actually not a bad driver I always failed for stupid little mistakes over and over but six sounds pretty bad. Four minors. I am so happy! I've been waiting for this for sooooooo long!!!!!!
