Have been reading this thread ever since I started learning 3 months ago, and I cannot believe that I can post here now and say that I passed my test today first time, 4 minors! So happy. :happy2: Not so happy about my insurers trying to put my premium up from £1100 to £3800 though! Think I'm off to find a new insurer, haha!

I really think that a positive attitude helps! I went in knowing that I could drive for 40 minutes without making any major mistakes! My examiner was absolutely lovely as well!

Have been stalking this thread for a while now but finally after what feels like a thousand driving lessons, I've passed my test! Was absolutely dreading getting a parallel park for my manoeuvre and so of course that's what I got. I honestly don't think I've ever done, or will ever do a parallel park as good as that ever again lol it was perfect!

Passed today with 3 minors, first time!
Thought I failed after hitting the curb on my reverse park, but he only gave me a minor fault.
    So bloody happy!!!
Now to try and find a decent quote

Passed first time today with only 3 minors! I was dreading the moment when he told me to do a reverse around a corner since I was having trouble with the maneuver in my practice lessons. However, i managed to do it perfectly... and apart from rolling backwards at a traffic light because I was in neutral (I feel stupid for that), everything when according to plan. Glad to see the test out of the way now!!

Ahh excitement! Did my test today for the first time and passed with 14 minors (whoopsy!) Was sooo certain I had failed, stalled once in a layby and squeezed past a lorry very slowly but really should have stopped earlier. Got a reverse around the corner that went great phew! So relieved but it hasn't really sunk in yet. Yay for freedom!

I passed my driving test last October at 17. First time, 3 minors. I got parallel park as my manoeuvre; never put a wheel wrong in every lesson but bumped the kerb on the test! My advice in this situation is to keep as calm as possible. Put the handbrake on and say, "Sorry, I'll just correct that." Wait for a gap, pull out again into your original position and redo the manoeuvre. That's what I did and I only got a minor!

I got a minor for going too slowly... >.< /derp
And one for not going into the filter lane enough when turning right at a junction.

    Overall, I was very pleased.

I took my test this morning and passed! I had 4 minors - 2 for cocking up my reverse park (I ended up waaaaay too far away from the kerb, and had to ask if I could tighten it up a little). 1 for undue hesitation (A lorry driver flashed his lights at me to give way, and I was unsure whether I should go for it, because they tell you not to assume what other road users are meaning) and 1 for control.

My instructor told me afterwards that the guy who took me was one of the harshest people at the test centre, so I'd done really well. The examiner really didn't want me talking to him though! We set off and I made a comment about how empty the test centre was, expecting him to reply by saying something more than "Yes, it is." and after that, I spent the whole time in silence because he was not a chatty guy.

Passed today, second time lucky! 4 minors. Over the moon! I was so worried about it, and I had a feeling I wouldn't pass before even starting. I couldn't believe it when I got the same examiner as last time, I really did not want him. Thankfully he was in a much better mood and my driving was fine Got a lovely route too. SUCH A RELIEF. Waiting for my dad to get home to help me with the insurance so I can drive my baby! :borat:
