Hola! Estudiaba espanol en mi instituto y voy a estudiar espanol en colegio. Quisiera ser mejor a hablando espanol y me necesito mas dominar en espanol. Lo siento si este parrafo es espanol mal pero tengo solo estudiaba espanol para tres anos en mi instituto. Me puedo hablar "me llamo hannah" y "tengo dieciseis anos" perfecto :smile:

one quick note hanzy, you don't need to say "me" before a verb, except in reflexive cases- for example, you say "me gusta" or "me levanto", but you don't need to say me puedo or me necesito- just the latter part will suffice :smile:

i've just read through what i put and i must have had a mind block or something lolz i don't think i've ever wrote me puedo before lolz thats like saying me tengo and that doesn't make sense lolz so i do know not 2 do it but did it anyway lolz oh well :biggrin:

Hola!
Yo a estudiado Espanol hace 2 anos para GCSE entonces no soy muy perfecto! Mi Padre es de Peru y hablamos Espanol mucho en casa pero no escribo mucho. Voy a hacer un clase en Septiembre para tener la A-level y quiero estudiar Espanol en el universidad con estudios de Sud America.

I found the "Practice Makes Perfect" series good. The verb tenses one cleaned up my grammar a lot. I've heard good things about the others.

Estuve un mes y medio en Inglaterra y ahora volví a Barcelona. ¿Que tal os van las vacaciones? Lo siento mucho por los Peruanos :frown:

hola, estoy estudiando el 'espanol' tambien (he teminado mi gcse)...pero quiero saber si es mejor a decir 'el espanol' o 'el castellano' ?? porque yo se que en espana hay muchoas idiomas diferentes como el basque, el catalan, el valencia y otros :confused:

En mi opinion, es mejor decir español si aprendiste el idioma de España- por ejemplo, si tienes ese acento en que dices "th" por c, o si dices coche por auto. Pero lo que yo hablo, el idioma del Peru, es castellano, porque hay muchas diferencias. "Coche" es carro o auto, se pronuncia "c" como "s", y muchas cosas mas. Asi que seria un error decir que habland Español en Peru, porque es muy distinto al idiomaque hablan en España. Asi que, depende de que tipo de "Español" aprendiste.

Gracias a los que estan pensando en el Peru. Yo todavia estoy en el hospital (gracias a dios por inventar el laptop jeje), pero al menos no estoy muerta!! Todavia estamos con temblores. Ayer habia otro terremoto de 5,9 magnitud. Cada dia los temblores son mas fuertes asi que ahora dicen que habra´otro terremoto igual de fuerte dentro de un par de semanas. Espero que eso es pura mentira...no necesitamos mas dolor en este lindo pais.

I'm going to self-teach myself Spanish this year (year 13) to take a GCSE in it in the summer. I'm going to try and visit this soc to help improve my Spanish, although of course I won't need to be up to a really high standard to take a GCSE in it. Hopefully you'll all be able to help me at some point :smile:

I know zilch at the moment lol. I think first stop is tenses...

Tenses aren't a good idea to start with. First of all start to learn words, like days of week, months, numbers, countries and so on. Then you'll get an idea of what Spanish words are like and then remembering Spanish words will be easier.

If you start with tenses you'll end up hating the language before you start!

there's also a french version called mot a mot si quieres saber... :smile:
