Need examples of dealing with difficult customers!
Hi guys,
Hope you're well.
I'm from Oz and recently went to a job interview (education/community services) where I was told that I would've got the position had I answered the question right about dealing with difficult customers - was so frustrating! :\
Anyway I'm on the look out now for good examples of how people have dealt with difficult customers. My answer was phone based rather than face-to-face which is probably why it wasn't accepted. Fair enough
Cheers and thanks!

Thanks dude, appreciate the post and have positive repped ya
Yeah my friends reckon you've gotta say things like you 'understand where they're coming from' and say that you'd like to help them achieve their goals. Such a variable question though! Grr x

Re: Need examples of dealing with difficult customers!
I remember when I had an xmas job, some guy came in and was having a right old moan because he ordered something online and it didn't come on the day expected. It was a national business, so obviously the store has nothing to do with online orders (unless its a reservation). He wanted to have the product from the store because it didn't come through delivery. Eventually it got through to him that the shop wasn't involved with the online orders. The dippy management team decided to give him the products anyway.
