Childcare costs not met by NHs bursary, do I apply to my uni to cover the rest?

Hi there,

I am starting a nursing degree at demontfort university in January, as I am sure any of you who have children are aware, the NHs bursary only covers up to a maximum of 180 pounds per week childcare.

So, as I have two small children my cost of childcare per week will be approximately £300, do I apply to my university to cover the remaining cost f childcare?

I am confused!

Thanks :o:o

Have you not applied for a student loan through Student Finance? You are entitled to money from them, but as you are getting a bursary as well they won't give you as much but might give you a little more as you have children. Check out this http://www.studentfinance.direct.gov.uk/portal/page?_pageid=153,4680136&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL to get a rough estimate and see if you combine the bursary and loan you can cover your childcare costs? I can't see the University paying you any money.
