Need 3 Essay Titles - Philosophy, Political Theory, Economics. Ideas anybody?
I'm applying for PPE and my tutor has requested that I come up with three essay titles - one pure philosophy, one political theory, and one economics. So far my ideas are:
Philosophy
“You cannot be held responsible for actions that you do not freely perform.” Do you agree?
Under what conditions can someone be said to know something?
What's the difference between a moral and non-moral issue?
Is there evidence of intelligent design in the Universe?
Is Pascal's Wager a good enough reason to believe in God?
Must we always act to prevent harm?
Is the belief that life is sacred a good reason for opposing euthanasia?
Political Theory
Why, and to what extent, do Conservatives support tradition?
Has globalisation made nationalism irrelevant?
Do all political ideologies harbour fundamentalist tendancies?
What are the challenges to political tolerance in today's multicultural societies?
Economics
Should governments prioritise growth or happiness?
Would the world economy function better with a single global currency?
I got a few of these from essay competitions online. I have to write all three essays and they are meant to be of a standard higher than A' Level but below University. I'd be really grateful if anybody could either add ideas for essay titles or comment on the ones I've chosen. Thanks

Would the world economy function better with a single global currency?
I would like to suggest a few ideas/examples for this topic:
If we take the example of the European Union at present, we can be clear that the single currency isn't a better option always. The fluctuation in the economic situation of a single country can affect those whose economy is relatively stable. The real world example of European Union clearly demonstrates that the single currency economic system is vulnerable and risky for the nations which want to play safe. It is at least clear that the world economy doesn't function better just by adopting a single global currency. -
Re: Need 3 Essay Titles - Philosophy, Political Theory, Economics. Ideas anybody?I think that that essay would definitely stem from the EU and that there would also be fiscal and monetary problems in adopting one single currency. That seems to be the problem with the essay title - the answer seems too clear cut... x(Original post by premgaire)

Re: Need 3 Essay Titles - Philosophy, Political Theory, Economics. Ideas anybody? That's true, but we can also argue about the easiness and comfort provided by a single currency! No need to exchange it! All the banking process would be a lot easier!! But still the risk would be there though!(Original post by hamsterdowns)
