i heard they all self-catered..apart from 1 place which is far away

right, i went to a warwick open day and asked about this. apparantly the catered one is where everyone who didn't get their form in in time gets stuck - cos its a bit out the way and more people prefer self catered. if you go catered, then you have to pay an extra £300 i think, and use it in a particular eaterie with a swipe card, and i was told that the food is expensive and not particularly nice.
rootes, i was advised, is the best because it's big and has lots of social functions. whitefields is apparantly small and cramped. but i am going to apply there anyway because its close to my department and is a little flat, which i would prefer to halls.
all i know i'm afraid. oh, also there is one that is way out the way. can't remember the name (it might have been lakeside) but check their map and see because apparantly that's a fair walk from a lot of departments.
hope this helps - warwick was a lovely campus and is now my first choice!
