Re: 2013 Pharmacy applicants :)
The sixth Pharmacy foundation year I looked for you is Science and Pharmacy foundation at Bellerbys College. Upon the successful completion of this foundation programme you are guaranteed a pharmacy place (year 1 )at the following universities.
(1) Masters of Pharmacy at London school of pharmacy.
(2) Masters of Pharmacy at Sunderland university.
(3) Pharmacy at University of Nottingham.
(4) Pharmacy at University of Brighton.
Hope that helps.

I wanted to know if ucl school of pharmacy consider taking re-take students?
Hello there I think there shouldn't be problem with them taking retake students considering if you are applying for Pharmacy.
However to be on safe side I'll suggest to ring them or email them any time convenient for you for verification.

If you can also give me more information on the Bellerbys College (foundation for pharmacy) would be great.
Although, I was slightly put off by the fees though
lastly, if I were to study there, would I be guaranteed a place at one of the universities?
Science & Pharmacy Foundation students spend 18-25 hours per week in class. The course is modular in structure and consists of core modules studied by all foundation students, and additional modules tailored specifically for Science & pharmacy students.
On successful completion of the Science & Pharmacy Foundation you are guaranteed a place at one of our partner universities. check http://www.bellerbys.com/courses/sci...undation#tabs0 for a list of universities you can progress to.Age: Students are normally 16.5 or over
Course length: 3 terms
Start dates: September and January and April - see term dates at their website. All of these details have been taken from their website.
However I can understand the fees is high but this is the route to UCL and other leading universities.
If you successfully finish their foundation programme and I assume they require you not only to pass their exams but achieve a certain percentage then only you are guaranteed progression to one of those universities, if you just pass their exams but are unable to achieve their percentage then progression isn't guaranteed. I assume all of this but for further details please always check these things again with the college directly. Hope it helps.

Hey everyone im new to tsr and was hoping i could get some advice about my application to pharmacy this year. I studied Maths physics chemistry and electronics at AS level and got AAAA, this year im doing my A2 levels and have dropped electronics, i will most likely be predicted A*AA, the A* in chemistry. I have work experience in a community pharmacy (my dad actually owns the pharmacy and is a pharmacist there, is that something to note on my PS or will they not like that?) I was also hoping to get some advice about the universities that im considering applying to, LSOP, Bath, medway, Brighton and undecided about the last, open to suggestions. Also does anyone know if these universties will look down on me as i didnt even take AS level biology, they dont say an awful lot on their websites or UCAS, and do my grades seem realistic for the universites im applying for? I would really appreciate an answer to any of these questions.

Firstly mention that you did work experience at a Community pharmacy but donot mention that it was your father's pharmacy. Every university would appreciate the fact that you have some work experience so definately include it in your PS. LSOP , Brighton and Bath are great schools of pharmacy however I should tell you in advance that Medway ain't a great school of pharmacy. For your last choice of pharmacy you can add either Manchester university or Bradford School of Pharmacy both are equally excellent in their facilities offered to pharmacy students. If the following universities as you have mentioned donot pay too much attention on the fact of AS Biology then I definately think that you have excellent chances for getting straight offers from all of them. And ofcourse your grades seem realistic for the universities you are mentioning of . Best of luck !

Re: 2013 Pharmacy applicants :)Thanks for the reply, the only problem is that i want to mention my dad inspiring me to become a pharmacist and on my ucas form i put that he was a pharmacist, so if i dont mention he basically got the work experience for me and they find out as i will have to leave a reference, that could annoy them and put them off from me. Also medway im choosing as a backup its the only pharmacy uni that on ucas doesnt even mention interviewing and sometimes accepts BBB if i mess up. Also thanks for your opinions on universities, i will look a bit closer into manchester in particular(Original post by Paracetamolpharm)
