    Stressed out!
    Yesterday my science teacher said something which has had me stressing! 2 years ago my sister sat her gcse's and got all A's. My teacher then said yesterday '2 or more years ago the tests were a lot easier, if they got an A in them tests chances are they would get about a C in these exams'. And I'm stressing so much! I always thought it would be easy to get a C, but obviously not. I have 14 topics to revise before November and I have no clue how to revise!?

    you get a notepad, and you read through all your notes and all your books, in accordance with the curriculum i.e. what will be on the exam, and you write that **** down until you know it. God Damn attention seeker.

    Dw, just make sure your study really hard and so all the usual stuff about preparing for exams. Tbh, make sure you get loads of exam practice, because that's the only thing that's really important so do lots and lots of past papers, you'll find them on your exam boards website
    Good luck! Xxxx

    That was an awful thing for her to say!

    There might be a slight difference, but there's no way an A was equivalent to a C. Don't worry - confidence plays a big part in exams. Revision works differently in different topics, but I'd say the key for most is practice. Here's roughly what I did;

    Sciences: Go through syllabus and make notes. Lots of past papers.
    Maths: Every question in the text book.
    Humanities: Take every opportunity to write an essay and ask your teacher to mark them. Memorise quotations and make lots of notes.

    Good luck, and feel free to PM me if you have any questions - particularly with Maths! (That's my degree subject).

    Re: Stressed out!
    Okay, first thing I would suggest you do is stop stressing out. It's quite easy for me to say I suppose. So don't put pressure on yourself like what other people do. Focus on what you can do. The first thing I would suggest you do if you are stressed out is deal with that stress. Have lots of sleep, lots of breaks and exercise, talk to someone about the challenges you're facing. That's the first thing I would do.

    Secondly, when it comes to revising, the thing I would suggest you do is to do little enough and do little bits every single day. Set a plan to divide everything you have to revise between now and November and do little bits every single day and practice recalling what it is you've learned. Don't leave it all to the last minute. Otherwise, you will really get stressed out. So try that and let me know how you get on.
