I have graduated, what next?????

Hi all,

I just graduated from the University of St Andrews with a first class degree in Mathematics. I am a little stuck on what to do next - I enjoy academics but would like to earn money. Can anyone suggest a possible career path for me?

most of my peers went banking or accountancy

I went the teaching direction

There may be opportunities to get a job with a finance (or any other company requiring mathematics graduates) that also allows you to undertake a master degree in a relevant subject or other postgraduate qualifications. Alternatively you can look at going into lecturing at a junior level which allows you to get into the academic sector often allowing for further study alongside work.
