    SQA Urgent Appeals 2012
    Hey!
Just a general question to anyone out there that submitted an urgent appeal a few weeks ago, like me...
Basically, I was wondering if anyone managed to get a successful urgent appeal?
I appealed for my Higher Maths grade to be raised from a B to an A, and unfortunately was unsuccessful. This came as quite a shock, as in one prelim I had a result of 90% and the second prleim a result of 88%, making my prediction for this subject an A band 1.
Therefore, I was enquiring to see if anyone else was in a similar position to me, and had an unsuccessful appeal, or if others were successful?
Would be great to hear some feedback

I don't know if I've got an urgent appeal tbh -appealing for physics B to A with 81% and history B to A 80% - but as long as I get one of them then I "have" an unconditional for Glasgow and a lot of pressure off this year. On the SQA website it says the results for urgents are not out yet

Wow BigChimp, that's great! Wish the same had happened to me I was just so sure my appeal was a given, getting basically A1's all year.

Oh right Direct15... well I know that my school hasn't received any of the urgent appeal results yet, but universites were notified around the 31st August. I found out my appeal result by phoning up the university numerous times and finally managing to find out from the head of admissions that it was unsuccessful! Bit of a hassle really.

I had a smillar unsuccesful appeal last year for maths. I had and averange of 94% from my 3 prelims, ended up with a C due to other circumstances. I was 1 mark of a B and I didn't get my appeal

Oh my, really? That is shocking that you didn't get your appeal! I know exactly how you feel... Did your school contact the SQA or did the SQA give a valid reason that they didn't give you the appeal?
