Fine Art MA courses in London

Hi

I'm looking at studying an MA in Fine Art starting 2013 and am interested in hearing from anyone who has just finished or graduated from places including

Chelsea School of Art
Central St Martens
Royal College
The Slade

I'm really looking for a course which is Interdisciplinary as I don't feel like I can specialise, but if you did work on a certain pathway, was there room for flexability?

Any info about the interview and selection process is also wanted.

Did anyone else have a year between BA and MA and did that work in your favour or to your disadvantage?

Also, finally, when you submit a research question in your application, how firm is that, can it change and evolve over time, does it vary on the institution?

I havnt done an MA in fine art, but i think youd be doing yourself a huge disadvantage if you didnt specialise or atleast narrow it down to certains dimensions.

Why?

Throughout my BA I worked with film, casting, performance and print.

I have no idea what I would specialise it and I don't want to limit myself, but I am genuinely interested in why you think it would be better to specialise.

I am going for something slightly different (MA in history of design at RCA), but I am having the same trouble over deciding whether to go straight from BA to MA, or to take a year off.

I'm not quite sure if I'm ready to go to graduate school, but I don't have high hopes for getting a job with my BA because of the current economy. If I took a year off, I'm not really sure what I would do.

What are you thinking of doing?
