    Which University do I choose?
    Which University is better for studying English Literature: Newcastle University or University of Sheffield??????? :confused: Please help!

    They are both great unis and they are both fairly equal on ratings as far as I know so It comes down to which city you want to live in? Which uni will you feel happier at?

    They are both russell group so are both decent, and in league tables (although these should be taken with a pinch of salt anyway) they have very similar scores, with Newcastle having a slightly higher employment rate. Therefore it ultimately depends on which city you prefer. I personally think Newcastle is a very beautiful city, both seem to have good nightlife it that's your kind of thing, while Sheffield is also nice and is the safest large city in the UK.     Not sure about English Literature but generally speaking, both are decent. However Sheffield has somewhat a better reputation.
