Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...
I bought one of these a few months ago, and with my normal monitor it worked fine. However my monitor recently broke, and rather than buy a new one I decided to use my cousins old TV (a Samsung SyncMaster 2032mw) as he had used it for his computer and it worked fine. However, I have tried two VGA cables with it, as well as both with an adaptor to connect to a different port (longer, thinner, and the name of which has just eluded me) and it still won't work.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? And yes, I have set the source to the correct setting and tried turning it off/on again

and what are the available connectors for the monitor? -
Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...Whats the graphics card called?(Original post by Revilo1)
The graphics card is an AMD one, and the available connections on the monitor are; VGA, HDMI and DVI-D -
Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...
If you don't get an answer on here you could try the Novatech forums, as they are usually pretty good at answering technical questions. Their live customer support is also quite good, if you chat during the day when they're not very busy they normally help out even if they're not obliged to.
This might sound like a stupid question but are you sure it was your monitor that broke, not your graphics card? Do you get a 'no signal' message on the monitor if you try to turn it on?
Does your computer still beep once when you turn it on? (if it did at all). If not then it's probably a hardware issue.
If you've got another monitor lying around try connecting it to that, to see if its a monitor or computer issue. -
Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...so what happened when you connected to the vga port?(Original post by Revilo1)
It says the ATI 6770 1GB graphics card
If your running a intel processor, did you connect appropriately to the right place at the back? -
Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...I was going to ask on there, but assumed I would need to set up an account etc, and so thought it would be easier on here, as I know the help is generally very good.(Original post by BreakStuff)

I get a no signal message when plugging into the thinner, longer ports (which I still can't remember the name of
) but with just the VGA I get a blank screen. And I don't remember it ever making a beeping noise.
Unfortunately I don't have any spare monitors - my previous one broke, and the one before that I sold on ebay.Last edited by Revilo1; 12-09-2012 at 20:44. Reason: Spelling -
Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...The screen simply stayed blank. Also, when I connected via the other ports with the adaptor (longer, thinner ones) it came up with a no signal message. Which seems odd. I have tried every possible set-up with the ports at the back that I could think of, and tried them again after restarting, but with no luck(Original post by Iqbal007)

Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...The longer thinner one is hdmi.......if your connecting that to a tv screen you need to change the input of the screen.(Original post by Revilo1)

Reading it up, its not a monitor, but a tv basically............so check the input of the screen, should come with a remote or try the buttons on it. -
Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV......integrated graphics ports...(Original post by Intriguing Alias)
Right unless I'm missing something I think you may be plugging your tv into the integrated graphics ports instead of the integrated. Make sure you're not
Imagine you are talking to a small child, please
Does this mean to use one of the other ports, then? Because I have tried all the ones I can plug into using just VGA as well as with the HDMI adaptor. -
Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...As the other person stated, hope your plugging it the correct graphics card ports.(Original post by Revilo1)
I tried going through the settings, but couldn't get them to appear on-screen when on the pc 'source' (not sure if it makes a difference) and none of the menus on the other sources showed anything relevant to screen settings.
And thats what i'm talking about, the input source........which you need to change to the vga source, etc to get the vga connector working and so on. -
Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...The options I have for input source are; PC, DVI, TV, Ext, AV, S-Video, Component and HDMI. I am assuming that PC is the VGA one (it has PC written above the VGA slot)(Original post by Iqbal007)

Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...Yes, press PC, then use the vga cable and it should work(Original post by Revilo1)

Re: Novatech iRush Pro not connecting to TV...It must mean its on standby or so.(Original post by Revilo1)
Unfortunately I am still getting just a black screen
Just to note, the power button on the tv has a blue light around it which lights up when you turn it on/off. It is currently flashing a lot. Any ideas as to why? Thanks for all the help so far
Try the source again............and are you connecting the vga to the right place on the back? because on a intel desktop, you'll have another vga port.

Guessing thats probably not a good idea...
