Will this look really bad?
I just found out my school has this ridiculous policy where you have to declare ALL your module grades even though on UCAS it says they're optional
It's compulsory to do AS Citizenship until we finish year 13 and we sat unit 1 in June, in which I got a U (didn't try as I thought I didn't have to declare it since I didn't have an overall yet). Will this severely affect me?

Getting a U is a straight fail... so i thought that meant you don't have to put this on. It's just like you haven't even sat the paper.
No no no, like I said my school is still making me declare it as they'll force me to resit the paper so I was wondering if this will disadvantage me.(Original post by britash)

Re: Will this look really bad?You would put the grade as pending, as a U is not a grade.(Original post by InadequateJusticex)

Re: Will this look really bad?Didn't it get changed so that even if you get a U you still have to? :/(Original post by Shelly_x)
You would put the grade as pending, as a U is not a grade.
Hahaha, so true! I miss my red TSR(Original post by FuLLuPMepOrtION)
won't look as bad as the new TSR layout
So can anyone else enlighten me? My AS grades are good though, so I was wondering if that would compensate for the horrendous U grade... -
Re: Will this look really bad? It's hard to say. I'd argue with the school rather than taking it as fact that you have to declare it. I would probably go so far as to involve parents and those who are higher up in your school.(Original post by InadequateJusticex)

That said, if they are insistent, it could either be seen as "oh well, it's just citizenship, it's not an important course" or "citizenship is a 'soft' subject, why did they get a U?"
Your best bet is to contact the universities directly. You don't have to give them contact information, or a name, you can just make a general inquiry.
Hope that helps
good luck.

Re: Will this look really bad?The annoying thing is they're making everyone declare it so it's unlikely they'll change it. The head of year 13 is a total nob too, and I think he's stubborn AF so I'm screwed(Original post by TenTen-da)

I might do that, but I hate phone calls so I'll find a way to email them or ask at open days
Thanks
