Changing out of uniform after school
Just wondered if anybody else who wears school uniform stays in it after school because it's comfy and there's no point in changing. My mum keeps going on at me and my sisters for staying in uniform until bedtime, even if we're out somewhere after school with friends doing the supermarket shop. I'm quite comfy in it though, I just untuck my shirt, pull my tie down and undo my top button and it's fine.

I always changed my trousers at least, because I'd change the t-shirt everyday for school - the trousers I'd wear all week. I like it cause of hygiene - don't want to be in the same clothes all day, and in case you spill something.

Re: Changing out of uniform after school
I used to wear my uniform all day until year 7 or 8, a time when I started to become embarrased bywearing school uniform when going to a restaurant (i.e. a sudden decision by my grandparents to take me out to dinner when I expected to just be having a simple afterschool visit).

If it works for you, then there's no need to stop it, but today I have rekindled my habit of changing into jogging bottoms and a big, brightly coloured soulcal hoodie and boy is it comfortable, the perfect cure for having a currently cold bedroom!

I would stay in it usually but sometimes change. Also would never be caught dead wearing my uniform in public after 6pm...only people who had nothing better to be at than waltz around the town and not go home after school did that.

I wouldn't go back out of the house without changing, even though it seemed a bind to do so.

I used to take my Tie and Shoes off, but other than that I would sit around in my School uniform all day, especially during Sixth Form when I uniform was simply to wear a smart shirt and trousers.

I always used to stay in it after school, I was just too lazy to get changed. Until year 9 or so I would wear the same shirt every day too... I miss pre-puberty sweatlessness.

Back in the day when I wore a uniform, I kept it on when I got home, didn't change until bedtime.

Now I wear my own clothes, it's straight into pyjamas as soon as I get back! That might have something to do with my new habit for sleeping for about an hour when I get home though.

I'm at college now so I don't have uniform, but I always get changed into my pajamas. That's with college, dancing, coming home from shopping/being out with friends, etc, etc. I did it with my school uniform as well. I'd much rather sit in my pajamas/lounge clothes, than clothes that I go out in.

i just used to stay in my uniform, unless i was going out out, if we was nipping to the supermarket i tended to just stay in it.

i used to usually take my jumper off, i used to wear really baggy shirts and never did my top 2 buttons up and kept my tie down anyway so it was comfy...

but if we went out out then id change, or i was feeling rubbish id change into pjs.

but now im at uni, ill get in and often change out of jeans to joggers and put a hoodie on, even over summer when i was working. i just find it more comfy now a days...

I have to change all my clothes (even my underwear) as soon as I come back from school because I sweat so much

For some reason she reckons that a loose tie looks more uncomfortable than no tie at all - I actually quite like wearing it so maybe it's me that's odd for keeping it on?

If I was just at home I'd leave it on, even though my uniform was horrible and I hated it. I wouldn't be seen dead outside of my school wearing that thing though.

I'm the same! Really don't see the point in changing for the sake of it, it's not as if it's uncomfy. My sis on the other hand does usually change... Just our different choices

School uniform - straight into my pyjamas. Literally would be the first thing I did when I got home :lazy:

i used to change as soon as i got in, just because i was so paranoid somebody would come & "knock for me" and i'd be so embarressed to be caught in my school uniform aha. i change as soon as i get in from work now also, and when i get in from uni i usually change into joggers or my pyjamas. something comfy cos i usually get straight back into bed!

For a couple of term my parents made me stay in uniform until my homework was done after a report expressing concern about me never handing anything in . I never wore my uniform entirely properly anyway (Tie was always a little bit loose and top button never done up) so it really made no difference to me...

That was back in year 8 though, they soon gave up enforcing it.
