For the past few months, TSR has been giving me a lot of problems to use. I often have to keep refreshing a webpage 3-4 times before it finally loads, and I can pretty much only browse TSR for about 10 seconds before I have a 3-minute time-out.

{10-second period where TSR loading times are normal} -> {TSR loading times then switch to one page loading after 3 minutes and it usually times out} -> {Eventually I can use TSR but only for 10 seconds before I have to wait again}

This is especially problematic as it makes creating new posts a nightmare. It took me about 6 minutes just to get to this sub-forum, and after I press the 'submit new thread' button it will almost certainly take about 3 minutes before it gets submitted.

TSR is the only website that does this for me. Why is this happening? It only happens on my computer and not on anyone else's. I'm using Mozilla Firefox 15.0.1.

Same. It stops working. Then I have to cross it out, and then open up a new tab.
Pisses the hell out of me. So much bloody effort, opening a new tab.

When I open a new tab and/or close the original TSR tab, it doesn't make a difference. I still have to wait three minutes.

Arghh exactly the same for me - I can't understand why! It's quicker to load a video than it is to load a page on here

I think the programme they use, may not be compatible with our laptop's software. Hence why it seems conflicting.

My current laptop takes 30 minutes to start up.
And 3 minutes, cmon, you shouldn't worry so much lol

The thing is though, once your laptop has loaded up you don't get a 10-second period of it working followed by 3 minutes of it being frozen, right...?

It's annoying because I've got to wait 3 minutes to access one page of information, and sometimes when it does load the page doesn't even load the template properly so everything is all over the place! Then I have to reload it again and there goes another 3 minutes... sometimes when I want to get on TSR quickly and post a query or just access a few pages, it can end up taking me half an hour when really it should have been a 5-minute job, and it wastes my time.

I only started getting this a few months ago.

Maybe they're all outdated.

Try upgrading Chrome.

I'm (apparently) using the newest versions of Firefox and Chrome, but not IE (that's version 8).

Few questions:

• Does this happen just on your computer, or on any computer on the same connection?
• What error message appears when the page fails to load? Could you screenshot it? Does it ever vary?
• Do you ever get a "part loaded" page, with missing images or bad styling or anything like that?

Any info on the above points would be very useful. "I get this too" will also help, I'm noticing a few trends in browsing data, but more data points would be nice.

It only seems to happen on my computer, but all computers share the same connection. It's just a standard "page could not be loaded/connection timed out" message, it does not vary. Yes, I often get part-loaded pages with missing images or a messed up template.

Hmm, okay. And I'm guessing it happens quite often? Can you try pressing Win+R, and entering this command:

ipconfig /flushdns

Then restart your browser, see if it's any better.

This is one of the cases which I would say 'Meh, **** happens'.

It happens to me as well, where sometimes it goes all over the place.
However it doesn't seem to happen when I use Chrome.
Why do you use Firefox?

Page keeps getting stuck when loading- really annoying

I'm having constant problems using the 'go to first unread' feature. When I select the option for my Watched Threads the thread loads with no problem but it takes forever for it to jump down to my first unread post. This is quite annoying as I scroll down to find the post manually and start reading and the page eventually jumps back to the first unread post as the page finally loads. I'm using Opera as my browser by the way.

I get lots of "unable to load the page" errors which are usually fixed with a refresh. If not it hangs for ages (indefinitely) until like others have said, I close the tab and come back in a new one.

If I open lots of tabs (perhaps 10 in a row) I'll find that 2/10 failed and I had to restart, but it happens less frequently when just browsing.

I've only had problems since the restyling this last week or so.
It's not slower to load than other sites when it works but the problem is it displays incorrectly alot. A weird grey background the same as the outline of the post/reply box. Alot of the images are missing and most of the stuff aligns to the left hand side in a longer list.
Apart from that it seems to not be able to load the site at all every other time I try to connect - comes up with problem loading page. This tends to happen when directly loading a thread from history or whatever, not so much for the homepage.

EDIT: the problem loading page thing is resolved by refreshing quite often.
I'm using the newest version of firefox on a mac.

Hope you can get it sorted
