What makes you a good nurse?

Being good at injections and blood tests! No one likes having to get a needle stuck in their arm three times because the nurse has no aim.

I'm sure most people in the job will agree with me that alongside the standard nursing skills and atributes that you need to actually to the job, you need;

- The patience of a Saint!
- The courage to be an advocate for your patients
- The acquired immunity to many unpleasant smells
- The ability to inject humor into your work for the sake of yourself, your collegues and your patients
- The stamina of a marathon runner to keep going despite having no breaks
&
- The ability to hold your bladder for a good 8hours+ shift!
