    Orange/EverythingEverywhere Assessment Centre...?
    Hey all,

Just got off the phone with a lady for a phone interview. Apparently I was good enough to proceed on to the next stage.
However, she did mention she didn't know where it was going to be held so will call me back at some point. Considering it's set for the 19th/20th Sept, in a weeks time, I was wondering if this was simply a light brush off or they are actually interested.
    Thoughts?

Actually quite surprised I'd got it, as I made the application about 2 weeks ago, completely forgotten what I'd BS about to get in so far and actually couldn't recall what or where the position was.
Not to mention I've only got about 3 months retail experience and must have sounded like a bumbling idiot on the phone

Anyone got any experience of this procedure?

I wouldn't mind a heads up on what's coming next

    Cheers all

    ~Zorg.

I had one about a year ago - can't say I had your problem with the location though! If it's still the same, they should send you an information pack all about the face-to-face interview process.

    From what I remember:
They made a standard speech about the company's history (mostly about their recent merger).
There was a 3 minute 'Sell Yourself' exercise.
    A role play.
    And a standard interview.

If they weren't interested, she wouldn't have contacted you. Good luck!

Cheers for the heads up. I've taken a look around and some people have mentioned a presentation. I'm just wondering if they'd seriously give you like 2 days to prepare a presentation.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. If they were going to lightly brush you off they'd have said they'd contact you in 2 weeks or whatever, I don't know. Just a niggling doubt I guess.

    Thanks

I just applied for Everything Everywhere. How long do you think it will take for me to get a phone call? How long did it take you? And did you have any previous experience? (I got none )

@Zorg: The presentation is just the sell yourself exercise... IIRC (I had a few interviews at the same time) they said you could do whatever to sell yourself. Like... compose a song or make a comic strip or even just make a normal speech.

@SFeet: You'll probably get a phone call if you pass the online personality question test (if they still do that!). As with all companies the time between applying and contact varies, usually depending on how urgently they need the staff.

Took about 2 weeks for me to go from applying to getting a phone interview. I think that's about normal.

I've got some customer service experience; pub work mainly, but also 3 months sales assistant in a retail store.

    x
Post in the CV helper section.

Currently I'd say it's just a wall of generic text. It's quite boring really. You need something that makes you unique, makes you stand out.

FREAKING OUT! I only applied about a week ago, got one questionnaire to fill out a few days ago, had my phone interview yesterday where I was a rambling idiot, somehow they called me today saying I'd passed and i've got my proper interview TOMORROW! Yeah 24 hours to get a pitch all done, my outfit all sorted and ahhh! I really really want this job but I'm so scared my nerves will get to me :/ Oh and I've still to receive the email though to be fair, it only was 30 mins ago.

But I am slightly confused, the recruitment website says it's a pitch on selling yourself whilst I'm 90% sure the woman I spoke to said I would be given 3 futuristic gadgets and I had to choose one to sell. Refreshing my emails like MAD!

Just applied for a 12hr job at EE and got an email saying I have failed the online assessment. How can they fully see what your like through this method I don't know.

I also forgot to upload my CV and add references when completing the application. Is it worth contacting recruitment to re-apply?
