The Catalysts of WW1 AND WW2.

Just doing some reading about WW1.

The catalyst for WW1 was the assination of the Archduke Ferdinand by Serbian revolutionaries.

But...

This is only a foreground catalyst. The real catalyst was the fact that the assassin who shot the Archduke (Gavrilo Princip) was a Young Society member which was then being directed by The Scottish Rite. So, the West was the real catalyst for WW1.

The Young Groups of Europe were terrorist organisations first founded by Revolutionary Giuseppe Mazzini, an admirer of the Knights Templar/Crusade legacy. The Young Group of Serbia were known as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Hand_(Serbia)

Who started WW2?

The supposed catalyst was Hitler's declaration of war against Poland, which also led Britain to declare war on Germany. The real catalyst behind WW2 in Europe was in fact anti-semitism, which in fact can be traced to Western Imperialism. The theory went that Jews were plotting revolution against European culture, and therefore must be annhilated. The theory that Jews were plotting revolution was introduced into Germany by members of the Thule Society, a kind of Muslim secret society headed by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_von_Sebottendorf . These Muslims even became volunteers in the Nazi war machine.

So, WW2 was also caused by the West.
For World War I, it's more than just the assassination of the Arch-Duke, if that's even relevant. At the time there was an arms race going on between the major European powers, particularly Germany. The Russian Empire in particular was hugely concerned about the growing influence of Germany and that their status as a world superpower would be weakened. Plus, it's worth noting that 'a quick, successful war' would boost patriotism in Russia and rally people behind the Tsar.

Fail, in so many ways...
How was the Thule Society a Muslim society?
WW1 was years in the building, with the expansion of Europe and the obvious tensions building between certain countries the plan was to have two super blocs develop. The British, the French and the Russians would make up one bloc and the Germans and Austro-Hungary would make up the other. The general idea was that since both sides would have a vast army complete with top of the line military technology each would act as the others deterrent. The assassination of Archduke Ferdinand was a catalyst in a similar way that throwing 100 lit matches at a pool of petrol would result in one being the catalyst for the fire, remove that one and there would still be 99 other matches heading towards that petrol.

The reason a lot of historians say WW1 was unavoidable is because most leaders of the countries involved didn't particularly want to avoid it, both sides were utterly clueless when it came to modern warfare. Most advisors viewed warfare as a fast and furious type event which only lasted a short time and usually only involved the loss and gain of outskirt territory depending on the outcome. The industrialization of war changed that, they however didn't realize they were no longer playing the same game until the war had already begun.

There were a vast array of social, military and political issues that led to WW1, there simply wasn't 1 event that could have stopped the whole thing.

In the sense that their leader claimed to be an ascended master of Islam.

WW1: the Archduke's assassination is the trigger but the Alliance system and the arms race are other causes
WW2: Invasion of Poland is the trigger but Versailles, Hitler coming to power and what he did in the 1930s are other causes

A local group leader might have converted to Sufi Islam. Not really the same.
