I enjoy listening to music,I like light music and slow songs.
I read the thread "what are the songs that you are currently addicted to". As a non-native speaker and a foreigner in the UK, I want to know more about the country and the language by listening to some popular songs. I found the thread very good, so I searched for the artisists and the songs that are recommended and listened. However, I found that I am not really into most of the songs I listened which either too "rock" or to complex to me. Maybe I just not good at appreciating those currently.
So I am wondering that if anyone can recommend me some beautiful slow songs?
I haven't listen to many English songs, the only examples of the songs that I like are "Someone like you" by Adele, "What are words" by Chris Medina and some old songs of Westlife--Swear it again, Flying without wings and Soledad. I also like some songs from the rock bands, for example, Look what you have done by Jet and 21 guns by Grennday.
Is there anyone who have similiar taste or is there any one who can recommend some good slow songs for me? Thanks in advance

Definitely reccommend the Beatles. They ha a few slow songs on each album.

Thank you for your recommendation, I will definitely try out. I have heard the "Hey Jude" and "Yesterday" by them. Those are the slow and nice songs I refered to.

As to Oasis, I've heard only one song of them"Dont Look Back In Anger", I like it.
