Calling all UCL Applicants and Students
    Hi
I am just wondering has anyone received an offer from UCL with predicted grades that do not meet the minimum entry requirements for example A*AB predictions for an AAA course, from what I've heard they don't even bother to look at the rest of your application. So I just want to hear your experience so I can decide if this will be a wasted option.

    Thanks

I don't know about predictions, but I think with the courses they have interviews/questionnaires for they maybe care about grades a bit less than others - I had AABCE at AS and got an AAA offer for History after submitting the history questionnaire. (I ended up getting A*A*A* at A2 though so I guess they were right to trust me.) On the other hand I was predicted either AAA or A*AA, so it's possible they ignore your existing grades for the prediction? But that would be very risky, and also favour students at schools which give high predictions, which isn't exactly fair. EDIT: Sorry, this is not a very helpful reply. Basically I'd advise to just go for it and see, I don't think there are any absolute rules about any of this.

They've not really got reason to give the application a look at if your predictions aren't up to scratch.

However, if it's something with an entrance exam/questionnaire you'll be in with a better chance - just do your best to squeeze out an A prediction rather than a B.
