Uni Not Confirmed Attendance. Playing Blame Game - Help!

I've spent all morning trying to figure out what's going on! My pay date for Student Finance is 24 Sept, but my Uni haven't even confirmed my attendance yet. I enrolled last Wednesday.

SF are saying that my Uni need to scan the letter & confirm I've enrolled, but the Uni are saying they're waiting for a list from SF before they can submit anything! What is going on?

I was really hoping the money would come before the due date as I have two bus passes to buy (Totalling at about £250), plus my course equipment. I don't have any money & am having to borrow from my OH to get to Uni. Thankfully my course tutor has told me that I won't need the equipment until next week, although it gives me only half a day to buy everything I need! And that's only if it goes in on time.

I'm really freaking out. Can anyone help? Is there anything I can do, or will I just have to wait?
