Do you need a union card to drink at the union bar?
My girlfriend has just started a speech therapy course which is jointly NHS and Manchester Met. So for the next 3.5 years she will be classed as an MMU student and presumably allowed to use the MMU bar etc.
I will be coming up most weekends to see her. I am not a student.
Yesterday I had a sneaky pint in the Steve Biko bar on my way back to the train station. But what about officially? Can she use the Manchester Uni bar as an MMU student? Can I as a 'civilian' use it?

Anyone can use it, but I think only Manchester students get "student prices" (usually about half normal prices).
Also on busy nights (Friday/Saturday/Whenever the union has an event on) you need a student card to get past the doormen, but any student card is fine - I've got in on my old Lancaster one before.
