If I wanted a romance I'd watch an anime.

I hate it. I went to the cinema for the first to see what it's like and found it crap.

But I have seen all 4 in the cinema and plan to see the next I NEED to finish a movie series, I cannot leave them, I am in a commitment until it ends I just can't leave something without an ending even if it kills me

When I was younger I read the books, quite liked them but didn't understand the obsession. Then I read the final book and hated it, and realised all of them were just as bad. I've never liked the films as I'd already grown out of it.

I liked the first one when it came out in the cinema, didn't see the second, third and fourth til they came out on DVD. It's one of those series that gets worse and worse the more you watch them, but I also want to see how it pans out.
But my sister loves them and has already said she's dragging me to the cinema for the next one.

Never understood the obsession or why a character as bland and dull as Bella has these two fit blokes madly in love with her...

The books are ****e examples of modern 'literature' (on par with the penmanship demonstrated in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' ). Films aren't much better, although strangely Mark Kermode didn't think they were too bad which surprised me quite a lot considering how harsh he can be.


And Kristen Stewart can't act for toffee. A piece of bark has a wider range of facial expressions than that girl.

I actually went to see all four movies back to back at the cinema last November (a 'Twiathlon') because, well, I don't exactly know. A morbid curiosity, perhaps. It was the first time I almost fell asleep in the cinema; my God, they're dull. What a waste of £15

I agree about the books.

About Kristen's acting, I think her role as Bella is a pretty harsh indicator. I mean, I think she gets it quite right. In the books, she comes across as detached and afraid to show any emotion. Kristen's sort of how I imagined Bella would be.

I think my main problem with the Twilight series is the infuriatingly lame romance. I mean, it's so 'oh I love you so much' 'I can't live knowing that I will eventually grow old and die leaving you' 'I won't let anyone harm you' 'I would die for you' 'this feeling I have for you is so strong. Oh Edward...'

In theory, the franchise would be this decent modern vampire action thing. They've got super strength and speed. I mean, it's like a superhero movie. But when the characters act like such pansies, I'm like push off, grow some balls you losers!

Every time i try to think of what happened in the movies... i keep getting drawn back to taylor (jacob) standing in the rain topless... that in its own right is epic! I actually do love the story but i know its not everyones taste. BUT TAYLOR TOPLESS WATER DROPS NOM im off to bed alone now.
