    Depressed - Help!
    Hello,

I'm writing this as I am feeling a little depressed over graduating university. I completed my degree and ended up getting a 2:1, but feel like I haven't really learned much and don't have the skill for a job. Either way, I have no interest in the field of study I took part in and don't want a career down that path.

Now I have nothing to do and no motivation at all... I am just depressed thinking about what to do and having other people ignore me and telling me to get a job and things will be fine. I have a job interview coming up soon for a job I don't even want. Along with having a long distance relationship and not being there with them (due to me not having work experience to go abroad and them not finishing university yet) I have no idea what to do!

    Any advise would be grateful.

    Thanks

First you have to build a good career of your choice with confidence.I know it is not an easy task. But if you want to get an identity in the society you should have a good job.

As far as observed from your thread

Is that you have lack of confidence and your are not very social in public places...

Well, As for my advice i would say that you must take a job where you need to Be more socialize than your are now.
Take small job like a teacher, waitress, or be a volunteer to do public survey, etc.

This way you will not only gather experience of doing job but also built confidence in yourself and also earn money from it .

trust me in this i did the same and saw the changes in me.

As for your university problem you will pass with flying color.

personally I would say it is very normal to feel this way, many students (like myself) have no idea what I want to do with our lives (work wise) the best advise I can give you is if you have the funds available (if not work for a little while) and go travel a little while, maybe volunteer abroad somewhere? this will give you time to gather your thoughts and find yourself a little abit, worked great for me last year. In regards to your degree and not learning anything, I gurantee there are hidden skills you have learnt, try and dig these out if you, if there was a particular module you enjoyed then use this for jobs and interviews. I find it exciting knowing that you dont know where lifes going to take you! hope this helps

Hey, not sure how you figured that out from what I put... but you're right. My main worries are just not been clever enough for the job and maybe that I should have chosen something which comes more natural to me (not sure what that is either though).
