you must waste a lot of time during your 'study'

1. Yes it is too much.
2. That's irrelevant, because I bet my arse you are not doing 16 full hours of productive revision

Er what?

I'm easily exceeding this and my course hasn't even started yet. Nobody I know would ever describe me as a workaholic. That's more 14+ hours a day territory. 8 hours a day is very ordinary. I get this nagging feeling you haven't been in employment before, 8 hours a day lol.

P.S.
OP why do you need to spend so much time in revision? If you're learning new ideas as well then the hours can make sense, but there is no course on this planet that requires 16 hours of revision daily.

Look up the facts. Anything over the average is generally classed as a workaholic. More than 40 hours a week.

Never too much revision but there's no way you're going to stick with it unless you don't actually go to school/college, don't eat and don't sleep and have no friends or family or allow for unexpected circumstances...
One question. When will you eat? We've established therefore that you are not working 16 hours, but 5am-9pm minus breaks.

But at the end of the day, the more you revise the better, so if you are capable of doing a stupid number of hours solid work, go for it.

You just made that line up, go crawl under a rock or something.

According to you 50% of students are workaholics (anything over average). The words, colossal prat, spring to mind. Your 40 hours is not even 6 hours a day. I think some people need to wake up and realise that they are now competing against the cream of china etc. Your views on work ethic, beyond simply being conjured out of thin air with pretend factual basis, will not serve anyone well in their lives and should simply be discarded.

Is 16 hours of revision excessive? Obviously, given that revision precludes the possibility of learning new material. However, is 10-12 hours a day reasonable? Yes.

You sleep 8 hours man and studying only 16 hours. 2 hours is enough sleep and 22 hours of revision sounds OK.

Can you guys answer some of my trolls

I once managed to work 9-10 hours a day for one weekend. I got 82 in a real tough module...

But I have never achieved those hours again.

16 hours? lol you are crazy. Cut them hours down. Take frequent breaks and only revise for maybe 4 hours a day. Whats the point of you revising for 16 hours a day and then start to faint towards your exams. Im sure you wont do well as you expected.

Workaholism is not the same as working hard.[1] Despite logging in an extraordinary amount of hours and sacrificing their health and loved ones for their jobs, workaholics are frequently ineffective employees

Watch out folks, working 40 hours a week will lead you to exhibit symptoms of workaholism including poor health and a break down in marital relationships.

If you have to ask this question then there's no point in you revising as its such a stupid question and indicates that you might be also.
If your life genuinely consists of nothing but sleeping and studying then you might as well be dead. Don't forget to live your life - you'll never get these years back.
Only 16 hours!? You should sleep for only 6 hours and work 18 at least!!

Well, yes it may be much on a daily basis but wow it just shows motivation! Although make sure you dont get sick of revising by the time it comes to your exams because it may have an adverse effect! otherwise eho cares what people think? make sure youre health is okay and if you think it will help go for it! just dont completely cut out socialising or having a hobby and enjoying some me time

you must not do so much of revisio even in life there should be experience of everything

No you don't do that much because I don't believe for one moment that you don't take breaks to eat, go to the toilet, wash yourself, even come on TSR and make silly threads......no you don't do 16 hours of revision.

I have managed 12 hours plus but that was only in the run up to exams i.e. massive cramming session. 16 hours of revision a day though? That's way too excessive. Besides don't you go to school or college or university or work?
