Would you vote Tories if Boris Johnson became PM?There has been some talk about BJ running for PM in the future, just a little question I thought that might yield some interesting views from TSR.
I personally enjoy Boris Johnson, he has great character, he's crazy (in a good way) but it makes me wonder if he will bring some fresh ideas to the table.
Probably introduce his 'Boris bikes' to the rest of England

Did anyone else chuckle to themselves when they read "BJ" or am I just having a juvenile moment?
+1 !! -

This is what I asked my so called anti Tory, all Tories are posh pigs, etc etc friends and they said they would vote Tory, I think they don't realise that Borris Johnson represents the Tory party and all their policies. If people are going to vote on how idolised or funny the candidate is then our political system is ****ed :/

Re: Would you vote Tories if Boris Johnson became PM?'Boris bikes' were an idea left over from the Livingstone administration.(Original post by Eboracum)
Well I voted for Cameron, and I prefer Bozza to Cameron so I don't see why not.
To the OP - Boris Bikes are a great idea, I'd welcome them here in Birmingham. -
Re: Would you vote Tories if Boris Johnson became PM?I'd just like to make the point that I strongly disapprove off this government and will not be voting for them in 2015, as I did in 2010. I wasn't suggesting I was a big fan, just that I'd prefer him to Cameron.(Original post by ApresAlkan)

They are both posh boys. But somehow Boris seems to be more down with the people.
If it was a Livingstone idea - Good for him, Livingstone bikes are great! -
Re: Would you vote Tories if Boris Johnson became PM?Sorry if my reply seemed a little cold; it just annoys me that Boris is known for the bikes--as mentioned--and the Olympics--for the bid for which he did nothing. He's a personality as much as anything. Endearing, certainly, though--but politically very far right. He's good as Mayor of London, where he can do no damage. Put him at the head of a country, and Romney will look like Roosevelt in comparison.(Original post by Eboracum)

I hope you vote Green 2015!
