Songs played over and over again at your workplace
I work at Marks and Spencer and it seems that every day the store plays the same songs. Off the top of my head:
Mr. Mister - Broken Wings
Adele - Rumour Has It
Charles Wright - Express Yourself
Gabrielle - Out of Reach
Patti LaBelle - Lady Marmalade
Paul McCartney - Dance Tonight
and many others. I like some but a lot drive me mad. Does anyone else have to listen to the same songs at work everyday? -
Re: Songs played over and over again at your workplace
We listen to a local radio station that seems to play songs constantly on repeat.
Katy Perry: Last Friday Night
Rihanna: We Found Love
George Harrison: Got My Mind Set On You
Adele: Set Fire To The Rain
Pink: Get The Party Started
Usually whatever song is popular at the moment they will play it at least 3 times during the day, not even kidding. -

Count yourself lucky!
Where I used to work they had a CD with song that were not real songs but just really crazy lyrics and terrible singers. Customers used to complain about it all the time. I still have no idea why the company thought it was a good idea. -

Re: Songs played over and over again at your workplaceMe old boss used to listen to Absolute Radio that has a no repeat guarantee during the workday. Maybe suggest it to your bosses? You can also get a rock station and one for each decade, all with the same guarantee. Thank me later.

Re: Songs played over and over again at your workplace
I've been at my job for 4.5 years, and ever since I've been there, they've played "Books from Boxes" by Maximo Park..But I don't mind, 'cause I love that song.
And they play the song they use for their adverts, so the last one "What Is Love?" was played every hour without fail! -
Re: Songs played over and over again at your workplaceNo repeats during the day, but they just play the same stuff everyday!(Original post by minimarshmallow)

Re: Songs played over and over again at your workplaceWhile that is true, they do have several stations, so you could just listen to one each day.(Original post by davidmarsh01)

Re: Songs played over and over again at your workplaceBetter than the same stuff repeated on an hourly basis. I remember looking through Capital's playlist and found that they repeated almost every song at least twice during 10am to 5pm. Some songs were repeated more. If you were to listen to the radio from 10am to about 1pm, you would hear hardly anything new from that point onwards.(Original post by davidmarsh01)

It's a wonder so many people listen to it... -
Re: Songs played over and over again at your workplace
Greggs.
The songs I generally remember hearing on a daily basis:
Nicki Minaj - Pound the Alarm
Rita Ora - How we do
Rita Ora - RIP
Rihanna - Take care of you (or whatever its called)
And more recently...the ones that drive me cuckoo-
Owl City - Good Time
Taylor Swift - Never ever getting back together
It's a good job I'm in for a max of 3 days a week,or I really would just lose the plot -
Re: Songs played over and over again at your workplace
It could be worse. You could have theme tunes on your playlist. Sesame Street into Call Me Maybe...interesting.
Where I work, there tends to be a period of mad obsession. It was Adele last year, then it was Somebody That I Used To Know (FOR THREE SOLID MONTHS) and then Black Heart. At the moment, it is the theme tune to Drop the Dead Donkey. -
Re: Songs played over and over again at your workplaceYep, we get those too at my M&S. Add Texas - In Our Lifetime, Annie Lennox - Little Bird and Girls Aloud - Whole Lotta History to the list aswell.(Original post by *Boofle*)

Re: Songs played over and over again at your workplace
I remember Debenhams playing Marry You by Bruno Mars once every hour for weeks while I worked there
I hated it, it was psychological torture. Imagine killing your favourite song and then having to listen to it every day for the rest of the month, once every hour.
