Re: Law at DundeeThe Law School is really good. Not that rankings mean anything but it does frequently rank in the top 10 for law. (#1, #2). The lecturers and teaching is of a high standard and, as you probably know given the nature of your query, it's unique in the sense of teaching both Scottish and English law and allowing dual qualification (or single honours if you're not too keen on restricting module choice).(Original post by xp4lyf)
Is the Law school any good? What are the prospects of a graduate getting into London chambers/English Bar?
As for prospects at the English Bar/London chambers, I really can't say. The Bar is going to be brutally competitive no matter what university you go to. That said, Oxbridge do tend to dominate commercial sets. You can find statistics here. They aren't particularly helpful in determining specific universities outside of Oxford and Cambridge. Whilst the university will play some role in prospects at the Bar, other things such as academics prior to university education, module marks, ECs and relevant work experience will play a much, much bigger role.
I would not base your decision on that. I'd base it on the strengths of the other universities you have applied to, what jurisdiction you wish to qualify into and what city/campus you feel comfortable spending the next 3-4 years of your life at.
