Re: At what age did you consider yourself an "adult"
I considered myself an adult at 18, but life kept proving me wrong again and again, until I understood that was certainly not the case. I think you can call yourself an adult when you're completely independent financially and can start a family
I'd give it a rest for now, enjoy being young while it lasts, you'll regret ending this amazing time in your life with 'premature adulthood' in the future.

Re: At what age did you consider yourself an "adult"
I'm 22, out of university and with a full time job in my chosen career, and I don't like to consider myself an adult. It still feels odd when people refer to me as a man rather than a boy. Maybe I just don't want to feel old but I still enjoy teenager-y stuff and don't have the same priorities as adults.

23 - and still own a sonic screwdriver

Seriously though, probably around 19. But it's not like I only have two settings, I can be serious and professional when at work, however very immature when around close friends. However still scared about 'adult' things, I live at home (commute to uni) and don't want to grow up just yet

Re: At what age did you consider yourself an "adult"Eighteen. Because at that age, I was legally an adult, and people started treating me like that. For me personally, I was treated more maturely at 16 and 17, but I was never treated as if I was 18.(Original post by essexrays)
Is it wrong of me to consider myself an adult at age 17 even though I am not in the eyes of the law?
At what age did you consider yourself an "adult"?

I(t's flattering!) When I'm served without the need for ID, then I'll consider myself as as adult.
