    Does anyone do this?

Is it good/bad for you to take cold shower especially in cold weather?

Not me. It's a large psychological hurdle to aim cold water at myself... :erm:

Only if I need to wake myself early in the morning (like 3 or 4) just to feel awake.

Unless its really hot but even then it's mixed with hot water--the shock you get from putting cold water over yourself :ahhhhh:

I have lukewarm/warm showers but then for about the last 2 minutes, I switch it to the coldest setting. Feels good!

I have a hot shower, then before I get out I gradually turn the temperature down until its cold - doesnt come as a shock then, and feels so much better!

lol this. Even if my boiler broke or something I'd just find someone else's shower I could use.

    No way.

Even in constant 30 degree heat, I still wouldn't take a cold shower.

I don't usually, however I did quite often when I was India. Bearing in mind you get soaked in sweat just by walking down the road, you can imagine how wonderfully cool and refreshing a cold shower is there. The best shower I've ever had in my entire life was when I arrived in Kolkata covered in a film of sweat and grime after a 22 hour train journey in the lowest possible class. The moment I got into my room I practically dived headfirst into the bathroom for a very long, cold shower. It was absolute bliss!

    I love cold showers!

I also have a few lawyer friends who swear by a 5 minute cold shower at work after 18 hours straight to wake you up and keep going for another 6 hours or so.

So enjoyable, and useful, how's that for interesting post!

    Jesus, I'm bored.

i have them occasionally, it all depends on the time i get up

if i get up before 7, the hot water isnt on in my halls, so i have a cold shower - i dont actually mind them all that much, theyre refreshing, and i dont have to wait for the shower later on. if i get up after 7, then i have the hottest shower i can bear

I have a shower on the coldest setting every time, except when I'm ill.

It is much nicer than a hot shower (try it!) and after a few seconds it doesn't feel cold at all.
