If Nick Clegg was PM, do you think he would have kept to his pledge?
Do you think Nick Clegg would have kept to his tuition fees pledge (not to raise fees), if he became Prime Minister?
When they say on the news "the Prime Minister's deputy", I just picture a dog with a bone in it's mouth, running alongside CaMoron, with it's face looking like Nick Clegg. He's not a Deputy Prime Minister. I recan he just goes along with what the CONservatives want.

Re: If Nick Clegg was PM, do you think he would have kept to his pledge? He has already clearly said he wouldn't. The policy was, as he observed, not only impossible to implement given the likely outcome of the election, but was also unaffordable in the short-term.(Original post by photographylover)

They don't. He is Deputy Prime Minister. It's the old difference between an Assistant Director and an Assistant to the Director. When they say on the news "the Prime Minister's deputy"
That's because you're a left-wing wastrel. Luckily, no-one much cares what perverted thoughts your fevered imagination can conjure up.I just picture a dog with a bone in it's mouth, running alongside CaMoron, with it's face looking like Nick Clegg. Re: If Nick Clegg was PM, do you think he would have kept to his pledge?Almost as pathetic of substituting name calling for actual arguments. It is a perpetual disappointment that despite politics being one of the most important considerations for absolutely everyone to think about, it is also among the discussions most prone to degrading into this kind of childishness.(Original post by photographylover)

Re: If Nick Clegg was PM, do you think he would have kept to his pledge?Yes, because he would have had full control over the Budget and the fee abolition was fully costed in the 2010 Lib Dem manifesto.

Personally no i dont believe he would have. Its easy to promise what ever you like when youre canvassing for votes and not in power but when youre actually in office your priorities change somewhat and he can actually see what a cluster**** the figures are.
