How do I calculate my estimated Uni grade based on my first year results?

I am planning on doing a placement year in industry, and the University Placement office have a CV template they want us to use, and it's asking for my projected Uni grades.

I have my year 1 final grades, but have no idea how to convert them into Uni grades?

I got 1xA, 2xB, 3xC, 1xD.

I am a little confused, as I was told the first year grades don't mean anything towards my final grades..?

Generally:
A = 1st = 70%+
B = 2.1 = 60%-70%
C = 2.2 = 50%-60%
D = 3rd = 40%-50%
Fail = below 40%

But it depends on your uni and how they grade really.

First year doesn't count at most unis, but your grades will be looked at by employers and as you have found, for placement years.

Just say 2.1 imo. Looks like you can do good quality work but need to improve your consistency. :yep:
if you want a 2.1 I reckon you can get it, maybe a first if you really work.
