Incredible how my brain just shut down over the summer holidays, can't even solve bro's math question (yr 9) -.-

1 pack of 6 eggs cost 46p
1 pack of 12 eggs cost 82p

how many packets of each to get 78 eggs for 5.38£
If you are looking to pay £5.38 eggxactly you would buy 6 packs of 12 which would give you 72 eggs for £4.92 and then buy a pack of 6 for 46p which would leave you with 78 eggs and come to the total of £5.38
X = number of packs of 6
Y = number of packs of 12

46X+82Y = 538
6X+12Y = 78

Solve simultaneously.
