Transferring to MPhys from BSc

I've currently just started the 2nd year of my 3 year BSc course in physics. I'm considering transferring to a 4 year MPhys course. I would be starting this course from my current year (year 2, as the course is common between BSc and MPhys for the first 2 years). I would effectively only be completing one extra year over my current course due to not having to start from scratch.
Both courses are undergrad and I have completed no prior higher education before my current physics BSc.

Will student finance provide tuition fee and maintenance loans for my extra year or will I have to pave my own way?

If they will provide the extra funding, how should I go about extending student finance's support?

Hello LHolmes93,

Yes, SFE will cover the fees for the extra year but if your course has already started, you'll need to get your university to put through an electronic change of circumstances to update your course details.
