I'm at college at the moment in Y13. I have a massive passion for aeronautical engineering, but I only got a C in Physics. What should I do? Will I get in with a C? If I am really keen, will they let me in?

I got a C at AS physics too, came as a massive surprise, im retaking both exams to try for an A :P

You can do a foundation year if you dont have grades for year1 entry! look them up!

Well i think edexcel isnt that bad, the layout of questions is really nice and the multiple choice is nice and easy too, you'll do fine in retakes:smile:

only 10 multiple choice questions  and the rest is wordy explain this type of questions. The exam is out of 80 :s-smilie: I'm hoping for a B at least when retaking and in physics 4 hopefully a B or better.

birmingham make different offers based on individuals so email them and ask. Sussex was CC, Brighton 180 points and above, Manchester BBC, UWE was 180points as well but their BEng course is 280 points which is doable...but the other reason why im not really applying for direct course is im not sure whether i want to do mechanical or aerospace so i can decide after foundation year xD but maybe i will do mechanical and specialise in Aero. I also emailed them to ask whether after the foundation year you could be switched to the MEng course and they all said yes which is good cause i really want to do the MEng not just BEng xD It's got more advantages

If i feel comfortable i'll switch to Meng, i also like the sound of Aerospace too! I think its the best and most interesting field of engineering imo:smile:

see you there:tongue: thought about Nottingham? it's BBB and a lovely campus

I wasn't allowed to apply to them :frown: they said its for people doing none science subjects only. Or only have one of maths or physics, but i can ask again since im only now doing 2 A-levels instead of 3. Im doing both maths and physics...so cant apply for their foundation year but it looked really nice from wat I saw! Aero is the best indeed
