Re: BoxingChisora should have won. It was a robbery.(Original post by oh-my-diddy)
anyone watchin the fights?? whats your predictions and what you say on the chisora vs helenius fight? -
Re: Boxing
So glad Cotto won. Was once a big admire of Margarito until his cheating. Then I saw the match against Pacman when he literally left him for dead and I honestly thought that was it for him, so it was a surprise to still see him putting up a good fight last night, but definitely no surprise that Cotto was going for his gaffer-taped eye that was so badly damaged against Pacman.
Don't care much about Chisora - he has not done anything ever; how he even got that fight with Wladmir I will never know. But he must be kicking himself now looking at the way his career has gone since Haye queue-jumped.
Disappointed with Murray losing. Thought he was going to make a great light-weight/welter one day. -

Excellent read imo.
Nigel Benn is one of my favourites too, heavily underrated by our generation I think. I didn't even know about his background in the Army and serving in Ireland. -
Re: Boxing
Cotto won the rematch because he rectified his mistakes from the initial encounter, he held up close and used more lateral movement, rather than backing up straight on to the ropes, he also blocked Margarito's uppercuts much better this time and chose his points of attack better, a very good boxing display from Cotto and the unproven amatuer coach who got a load of stick in the run up to the fight, knew exactly what needed to be done and he gave Cotto an excellent game plan. Manny Steward is a great coach but he wanted Cotto to beat Margarito on the inside which would of been suicidal, maybe Cotoo choosing to depart from him wasn't so bad after all.

Re: Boxing
Not long for Amir Khan to defend his WBA/IBF titles against Lamont Petersen in Washington. A fight Khan should win the similiar fashion he beat Judah although Petersen seems durable and able to last the distance if he has to. Khan to win in the 8th round.
After that, I really hope Bradley mans up and faces Khan for a unification bout. I doubt it though, it seems he ain't interested at all which Khan can't do much about. Then he'll go up to 147lbs and possibly face Kell Brook as an introduction to the division before going onto bigger things. -

What time does the fight start on Sunday morning? -
Re: BoxingCould be before that don't you think? Around 1.30 - 2am?(Original post by oh-my-diddy)
2.30am i think
But yes around then I think... but I'm going to start watching around 1.00 - 1.30, half an hour makes a big difference. The fight could be over by then.

Re: BoxingAre you sure?(Original post by Aky786UK)
The fight will start - from past fights - around 3.50am. That was the time given on Amir's Twitter feed. The undercard will probably start at around 1.30 onwards or something like that.
Vegas fights start around 4am usually. Washington is East Coast, only 5 hours time difference (compared to 8 for Vegas I think).
I'm sure on Amir Khan's twitter/facebook someone answered the Q, saying between 1-2am. -
