BEST way to TACKLE a MATHS EXAM

Hello everyone,
I was recently thinking of good ways to tackle a maths paper (gcse). I know everyone has their own speed and ability but generally i have come up with a few tips.

1) read the question carefully but not slowly
2)wear a watch to keep track of time
3)start from front NOT back, because the 'easy questions warm your brain up '
4)shoot through easy questions quickly leaving you time for A* questions.
you can always come back to double check your responses.

i know these tips may not help you all, but they help me, so i thought i would share a few that help me.

Now, does anybody else have tips to add ?

I think the main thing is to make sure that you're confident in all the content, and have practised doing lots of past papers. If you practise enough, you find yourself completing the paper in around 1/2-2/3 of the time you're given. You can then use that extra time to quickly rework through the paper, check your answers, and maybe sort out a few tricky questions. Makes you feel much more confident when you come out of the exam!
