Account for Hitler's rise to Chancellorship?

I'm thinking of answering the question by talking about short/medium and long term factors. My main argument shall be that it is too simplistic to assert that his rise to power was as a result of any one factor, but that it was a synthesis of all the factors. I would appreciate if someone could help out, perhaps a few nice historian quotes hehe!

This question was on my GCSE paper 2 last year. It wanted to know if violence was the most important reason, i put that it was in the short time, but propaganda amd other factors had to be considered in the long terms. I think it got me an A*, 'cos I messed up on the :ib welfare reforms!
