Re: Malaysian!!!Mari Mari Mari!!!Can you please share with me this:(Original post by Nicholasng925)
Hahaha!!! sounds interesting. Apart from those typical activities (eating, sleeping, bathing etc), I've been reading some online articles (trading), good books (finance, economics, maths, cosmology and Christianity) and some actuarial/financial maths notes that I've obtained from my senior. Too many stuffs to read on until I'm undecided on which one to read haha.
Anyway, yeay I like playing badminton too! I will usually take 2 days off a week just to play badminton and go to gym. (:?some actuarial/financial maths notes that I've obtained from my senior. Too many stuffs to read on until I'm undecided on which one to read haha
I would be really grateful if you could share some with me! That impressed me really!

Re: Malaysian!!!Mari Mari Mari!!!Oh, I don't have all the notes. I only have notes for CT8 (Financial Economics) and ST6 (Finance and Investment B: Advanced Derivatives Pricing), since I'm interested in both. Both are considered the hardest papers in their respective stages in the context of technicality and complexity. So... ?(Original post by koko298)
The actuarial science notes? I am interested in it of course! Otherwise I wouldn't ask, or are you gonna keep it to yourself?

Hai korang
Saya ni masih bersekolah..tingkatan 5 sekarang ni..boleh bantu tak?
Saya agak berminat dengan course PPE..tapi, sya tak tahu apa yang patut sya buat...sya adalah buat sikitt kajian pasal ni..yg saya tahu kena ambil A Level..tapi sya masih tak tahu apa subjek yang perlu saya ambil...Ada tak cara lain nak ambil course ni? Tolong bantu..

As what Nicholas said, right now the most important thing for you to do is to focus on your SPM. PPE is an extremely competitive course with really brilliant students all over the world applying for it. Get as many A+s as possible (it won't really give you an advantage, but I can assure you that most applicants would have at least 5A* and above).
You *could* take STPM - it's accepted in UK universities - but the grades you're required to get will be the same as an A-levels student so that's something to think about there. If you didn't take Economics in SPM, I'd recommend you to take it in A-levels. Maths is a must as well; Further maths is okay if you like to do Maths. As for your last subject, I'd recommend an essay subject (unfortunately Malaysia does not offer Philosophy or Government and Politics A-levels
) Philosophy (I think) is an essay-intensive subject in both A-levels and university.
I'm not sure whether universities in other countries offer this course. PPE is quite an unique course but who knows! Do you research. And no, there is no twinning available for PPE.Ada tak cara lain nak ambil course ni?
As I've said before, PPE is a very, very competitive course with typical entry requirements at A*AA. So if you're really sure about this, start working hard in your SPM - especially if you're looking into applying for Oxford - and put 110% effort in your A-levels/STPM. Also, you must definitely get your english up to standard. Philosophy involves a lot of reading and most probably the books will be really obscure. In your free time, after SPM, go to the library and start reading up philosophy books, get a feel for the subject and decide whether you like it or not. Same with politics books (not Malaysian politics mind you! They are cr*p).
Also, try stalking Oxford's website. They may have a list of books for you to read that may help you. Good luck!

Re: Malaysian!!!Mari Mari Mari!!!Hey, the Old Mill accommodation is very near the Uni, a few minutes walk. It's easily the cheapest Halls I've found at around 80 pound a week including all bills. It's been renovated/redecorated recently also and seems lovely, it's where I'm going got be staying!(Original post by Ebelle)
Hi, I'm planning to study at Abertay Uni and I would like to get more information about accommodation. Could I know which accommodation are nearer to the Uni and budgetary.
Thank you. -
Re: Malaysian!!!Mari Mari Mari!!!he didn't need to apologize at all. he did his best, and there was nothing more that he could have done.(Original post by Akiraryuu)
Yep, no gold.
I feel so bad for Lee Chong Wei especially after he tweeted "I'm sorry".

Re: Malaysian!!!Mari Mari Mari!!!Exactly! He has nothing to be sorry for. He did extremely well against Lin Dan considering his injuries. I think the semi-finals and the finals match was one of the best matches I've ever watched him play!(Original post by strawberry)
