Hi,

However, you will also cover a full range of marketing and professional related activities which will prepare you for employment in the fashion industry in its broadest sense.

Benefits include:
Links with designers such as Gavin Douglas, Alvin Loy and Zandra Rhodes; guest lectures from industry experts such as Martin Raymond, co-founder of The Future Laboratory, and Sally Denton, Managing Director of The Trend Boutique.

Opportunities to exhibit your work at live shows. In the past, these shows have included the 2010 Blitz Celebrations and the College Forum Catwalk at the Clothes Show Live; access to fashion workrooms with the latest leading-edge equipment including laser cutting and sonic welding tools.

The opportunity to travel to Paris to visit Premiere Vision, the world’s premiere textile show, to view fabric trends for future seasons.

Access to the industry version of Worth Global Style Network (WGSN) trend website, the leading online trend-analysis and research service providing creative and business intelligence for the apparel, style, design and retail industries; a programme of study visits to tradeshows, exhibitions, conferences and trend presentations in the UK.

Hello! My name is Eliel and I am UCA representative and also a current student there. I have been doing photography for 2 years now.

I read that you are thinking of applying for Fashion courses and I though you would be interested in our BA (Hons) in Fashion at UCA Epsom. Not sure if you have heard of UCA before. The University for the Creative Arts is one of the leading providers of specialist art and design education in Europe. We are a diverse community of about 7,000 students from more than 70 countries and are based around five campuses in Surrey and Kent.

All fashion courses at UCA Epsom are great. I have a few friends studying there. They are second years now and they are truly enjoying it and learning so much from there chosen specialist areas. The best thing is that Epsom is mainly Fashion specialized so for 3 years of your degree you get to meet and collaborate with students from a variety of related subjects like other fashion designers, management and marketing students, fashion promotion and imaging and a few more. I think this is an awesome opportunity to be immersed in the fashion world from the beginning and build some great contacts.

The BA (Hons) in Fashion Design at Epsom it's great. It has an amazing international reputation for producing world-class talent and helping you develop in great ways within a very creative environment. You can read more about the course here: http://www.ucreative.ac.uk/ba-fashion

The BA (Hons) Fashion in Epsom also has great industry links with names such as:

Vivienne Westwood
Christopher Kane
Paul Smith
Ted Baker
Julien MacDonald
Michiko Koshino
Alexander McQueen
Peter Jensen
Burberry
Erdem
The Future Laboratory.

By clicking on the link below you can watch a video of the Fashion Graduate Week and see some of the students work and the staff at UCA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tQtM6av6PMI

Another really good thing about studying Fashion at UCA is our connections with Zandra Rodes. She is one of UCA's chancellors. If you want to know a bit more about this please watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnqG9yabHjc

As I said before, I am a current student at UCA and have been for almost 2 years now so if you have any questions rewarding student life or anything else please don't hesitate to ask.

Hope you find this useful.

Eliel.
