What does "28 days notice" exactly mean?

Hello,

In my current job the contract states if I wish to resign I must give a 28 days written notice. Does this mean 28 working days so I can officially leave my job after 6ish weeks??? Or does it mean 4 weeks?

Also, do I have to post my notice or is email sufficient?

Sorry if this is a stupid question... can someone provide an answer asap!

It means 4 weeks :smile:

EDIT: email should be sufficient to start the notice period, however they may ask for a written/signed letter to follow up on this (that's only a maybe though)
