Level 2 means that it is about GCSE level about grade A-C (Level 1 being below that and level 3 being closer to A'level standard). However I doubt you will be sitting the equivalent of full English and Maths GCSEs and the tests won't be based on a particular syllabus.

I did a couple of entrance tests for different colleges. At one it was an online multiple choice test, the questions varied depending on how you answered them and at the end you got a result which stated what level you were working at (ie level 1, 2 or 3). The test at the other college was a written test which covered basic maths (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, areas etc) and some basic comprehension (read the article and answer the questions). Afterwards it was marked and to get an interview you needed to get a certain number right.

From reading on this forum over the last couple of years it seems that entrance tests vary greatly from college to college, some people report them being incredibly easy and some people find them very difficult. The most helpful thing for you would be to find someone who has done the tests at the college you are applying to or call them up and ask if there is anything in particular you should be revising.
