maths question help

if a house has two different roof heights 1) 3 metres over 21.2 m2 and 2) 5.6 metres over 233.84m2, what is the average roof height for the whole house>?

any answeers appreciated :smile:

You need to find the weighted average of the roof height. Use the areas as the weightings.
Average height = (height *area + height*area) /(total area)
