JSA Last Signing On, Am I In The Wrong?

I got a job and posted my contract back to HR last week. However, my last sign-on date was yesterday and I don't start my new job until Dec 3rd. I've got a annual catch-up meeting with my advisor on Dec 4th, which I obviously cannot attend but was told by someone that I should sign-on for the last week despite submitting my contract to get my last funds then inform the JC and my advisor that I have found work. To me it seems like I am in the wrong for claiming as I have posted my signed-contract back to HR. Technically, I am employed but I just haven't started yet...
You can claim until you start work. If your contract with the new employer beings on 3/12, you can claim until 2/12. This is because you are still available for work [albeit temporary] until this date.


You simply need to fill in the back page of your agreement booklet stating 2/12 as your final claim day and send it off. :smile:
