Student finance help

Hi!

Just wondering if anyone could help. I am currently in the first year of my degree, however I want to re-do the year at a different university by applying through UCAS.

I don't want to drop out of the first year as I can't afford to at this moment in time. If I go straight into the first year at another university in Sep 2013, will Student Finance fund me for the three years of my new degree despite the fact that I haven't dropped out now and am going to complete the rest of the year?

Hello,

Based of the information you have provided, you will be able to get another year's worth of funding as a gift year providing this is your first time you've dropped out.

The previous study rule would be used to work out your entitlement.
