Books to learn Java and Python

Hey!

I am new here. So basically I'm going to uni next year for CS course and I would greatly appreciate if people recommend me great books to learn Java and Python. Also book on algorithms. I have nothing to do at the moment and want to start learning uni course.

Currently I am doing MITx course on edx on python which is hard, but great and stimulating. What books would you recommend on these languages? Also i spotted enough algo books but I cannot find comprehensive and clear book. A lot of them distorts what is important to learn.

Thank you and good day to all.

Okay. I'll start with a book I used to learn beginner's java in the past:

You can share your books. Explain why it helped if possible :]

Above link directs to the book which explained Java fundamentals very well and I learned them in one week without too much effort. I liked the layout and review questions at the bottom of the section. :]
